Rouge River Project Internet Mapping

The Rouge River Project began the restoration of the Rouge River by focusing on a primary pollutant source: combined sewer overflows (CSOs).  The Project began a comprehensive analysis of the entire watershed and the pollutant sources that impact the river's water quality.  This information is being used to develop a watershed-wide management strategy.

Services Provided

Internet access to the many Rouge Project maps has been provided by RTC in two ways.  A large number of maps have been exported into Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF) and organized by category on the Rouge Project.  Additionally, subsets were selected for interactive web presentation, accomplished using the scaleable vector graphics (SVG) format.
