VAN-127-09.81 Bridge Replacement

Replacement of a deteriorated concrete rigid frame bridge over Town Creek.  Located on South Washington Street in the central downtown area of Van Wert Township, the bridge was part of the main traffic artery of the County.  Replacement was a thirty-four-foot, single span composite box beam bridge on capped pile abutments.  Included in the design were two seven-foot sidewalks with a decorative handrail maintaining the historic character of the district.

Services Provided

RTC provided all structural services required for the replacement as well as hydraulic studies of the waterway, and approximately 70 feet of bridge approaches.
